The Center for Conflict, Peace and Justice Studies (CCPJS) is member of GIRES, the Global Institute for Research, Education and Scholarship.
The aim of the CCPJS is to promote interdisciplinary research in three core areas that have impacted human society since prehistoric times. It seeks to encourage collaboration and innovation in exploring the dynamics of conflict in relation to specific wars, genocides and uprisings, as well as significant situations of political and social unrest.
Similarly, it seeks to explore strategies for conflict resolution and peace building, from both a theoretical and a practical perspective. The Center is also committed to encouraging dialogue on the concept of justice and critical reflection on the judicial mechanisms that have been established on a national and international level.
The scope of the Center’s interest is therefore very broad. In the same way that it does not have a specific geographic focus, its potential for collaborative scholarship is also not restricted to contemporary history.
We welcome all opportunities to engage in a rich and constructive dialogue with scholars interested in any aspect of conflict, peace and justice.
