Leyla Neyzi is currently based in History, University of Glasgow as a Leverhulme Trust Visiting Professor.
Dr. Neyzi is Professor in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Sabanci University, Istanbul (on leave). An anthropologist and oral historian, her areas of research and teaching include oral history in conflict-affected settings, memory studies, Kurdish studies, youth cultures, nationalism, ethnicity and minorities, violence, displacement and diaspora. Leyla Neyzi has published widely in English and Turkish.
Her recent publications include “National Education Meets Critical Pedagogy: Teaching Oral History in Turkey,” Oral History Review 46, 2 (Summer/Fall 2019): 380-400.
