Dr. Theodora Panagiotidou, holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the School of English, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with a minor in Translation, where she specialized in probabilistic models in language and translation. She holds a Master of Arts in Applied Corpus Linguistics from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language & Literature from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Furthermore, she has pursued continuous professional development, earning certificates in management of educational units, computational linguistics, and development of administrative skills. Dr Panagiotidou’s commitment to lifelong learning extends beyond academia, encompassing e-learning courses from esteemed institutions such as the University of Virginia and the University of Edinburgh.
Dr. Panagiotidou has extensive experience in administrative and coordination roles within international & European organizations and a solid professional background in refugee reception and asylum policies. Currently based in Athens, Dr. Panagiotidou serves at WHO/Europe, where she provides assistance in the coordination of programme/project planning and implementation activities and basic research support. Prior to this role, Dr. Panagiotidou assumed various roles within European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA), demonstrating exceptional organizational and analytical skills and a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and displaced individuals. There, her key responsibilities extended broadly from managing internal databases and delivering training programs to processing international protection applications and implementing reception policies and support projects.
