Nigel D’Silva, PhD
Dr. Nigel D’Silva (PhD, FDP, MBA, B.Sc.) is a Professor, Senior Advisor and GLO Fellow who has over 25 years of economics, academics, research, management advisory, big data, data modeling and rich industry experience across diverse industries. He has independently led many consulting and training engagements in analytics for International as well as Indian clientele in various industry verticals.
He holds a Doctoral degree in Economics with a specialization in Econometrics from the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), India. He holds an MBA with a specialization in International Business from the School of Management at Charles Sturt University, Australia, and a Bachelor of Science degree, specializing in Statistics, from the University of Mumbai, India. He has also completed FDP program at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Dr. Nigel D’Silva is a Professor of Business Analytics at Universal Business School, India since 2020. He is currently an Empaneled Faculty in Economics at the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. He was formerly Professor & Head of Emerging Technologies Programs at N.L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai, India. He teaches Quantitative Techniques, Advanced Data Analytics, Multivariate Techniques, Research Methods in the PhD/Doctoral programs and MMS/MFM/MMM/MHRDM programs affiliated to Mumbai University. He is also a Visiting Professor in Business Analytics, Big Data, Quantitative Techniques in MBA and Executive MBA programs at some of India’s top business schools for over 15 years.
Dr. Nigel D’Silva is on the editorial and paper review boards of Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Education (Taylor & Francis), International Journal of Economics and Finance (Canada), Global Journal of Management and Business (USA), Indian Journal of Economics.
