María Garcia, MA

María del Rosario García Escobar is a Cuban musician, sound designer, and professor.

She graduated from the Intermediate Level of the National School of Music in Cuban and from the Bachelor in Audiovisual Communication of the Cuban University of the Arts, in the specialty of Sound. She has specialized in sound design for documentary film and advertisement, as well as the use of music in film productions. She has worked for the Cuban Film Enterprise 4 Caminos Producciones, the International Laboratory in Film Projects Development Filma Afro Cartagena, the Cuban University of the Arts, and Estudio Vandor.

She is currently studying at the Master’s program International Media Studies of DW Akademie and University of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, Germany.
