Aurora Rodríguez Sánchez, MA

Aurora Rodríguez Sánchez, was born in Havana, Cuba and she holds a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences. She is currently involved in the Latin American Studies doctoral program at the UNAM, Mexico and doctoral student of the project “Temporalities of the Future”, of the International Graduate College and the Freie Universität, Berlin.

Mrs. Rodríguez has worked as professor and research assistant at the Faculty of Communications in the University of Havana. Specializes in studies of Corporate Communication; Hypermedia Communication; Visibility, Positioning and Web Analytics. Aurora has also ventured into Photography, theoretical studies on aesthetics and everyday life.

She has worked as consultant at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and as translator at the San Antonio de los Baños International Film School. She has also worked as Director of Communications on the OnCuba Platform, in which she coordinates the corporate image, promotes the reputation of the OnCuba brand, strengthens relations among all its target audiences, conceptualizes and implements communication campaigns and collaborates on the diversification of the product portfolio of the platform. Currently she teaches at the ICRT Study Center in the area of Communications.

She has participated, among others, in prominent international events on the field of communication and social sciences, such as LASA 2016 (Latin American Studies Association) and ICOM 2016, 2017 (International Communication Meeting).
