Atef Ahmed, PhD

Dr. Atef Ahmed is a senior Academic Advisor at EgyTEFL, based in Cairo, Egypt, with an experience of more than 28 years in the field of teachers’ education programs, civic education, youth development, TVET, higher education, entrepreneurship, economics education and project management having a special focus on IT/Technological support in education institutions. Dr. Ahmed holds a PhD. in education technology from Cairo University.

He was previously assisting European Union, World Bank, USAID, and American Institutes for Research and MTC International Development Holding Company in running their education programs in Egypt. Also, he played a significant role in establishing Career Development Offices in Cairo and Ain Shams Universities, and administering the Digital Education Enhancement Project (DEEP) in Egypt, where he oversaw the setup and the day-to-day running of the UK government-funded program.
