John Dean, PhD
As tenured professor at the Universities of Paris, Strasbourg and Versailles, France, Dr. Dean’s fields of teaching and research have been in Cultural History, Cross-cultural Communications and American Studies.
Ph.D. from the University of London, Dr. Dean has also taught regularly in the School of Mass Communications and Journalism, University of Colorado, Boulder and at St. John’s College, Santa Fe, New Mexico, Institut Catholique de Paris — as well as having done numerous public diplomacy speaking engagements across Europe for US Public Affairs services. In addition he is Chercheur Centre d’Histoire Culturelle des Sociétés Contemporaines, UVSQ & Prof. Emeritus MC University of Versailles, France.
Author of numerous books and articles, Dr. Dean is currently employed as US Civilization Programs Co-Director at the Akademie für Lehrerfortbildung und Personalführung in Dillingen, Germany, plus works in Paris in affiliation with the French government-sponsored AGIR group — under whose aegis he was Distinguished Visiting Professor of Mass Media Studies and International Relations at Christ University, Bengaluru, India, 2017, 2019.
